Since the introduction of the iconic Aviator model created for the aviators of the United States Army, Ray-Ban has been at the forefront of cultural change, becoming a symbol of self-expression, worn by celebrities and public figures all around the world. Acquired by Luxottica Group in 1999, thanks to investments and the launch of new collections and styles, Ray−Ban has become one of the world’s most iconic brands. In 2016, Luxottica introduced a brand-new Ray-Ban retail concept in Mainland China and in the United States: more than physical stores, they offer an interactive space created for consumers to embrace the unique Ray-Ban experience and culture.

Ray-Ban Remix is the online customization platform first launched in Europe in 2013. It is a key driver of the brand's e-commerce expansion and its growing connection with millennials. Its success in allowing customers to personalize the style, material, lens color, engraving and other aspects of their Ray-Ban frames has led to Remix launches in the United States, Canada and China in 2014. Australia, Brazil, Japan and Hong Kong in 2015 and Mexico in 2016.

Tom Ford

Born in Austin, Texas and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Tom Ford is among the most highly respected and successful designers today. The winner of numerous design awards, his rise in fashion began in 1994, when he became creative director of Gucci. Not only did he dramatically change the image of the legendary fashion house, he also led the company to unprecedented success with his visionary insight into what the modern consumer desires. His innovative and provocative designs set the tone for an entirely new direction in the world of luxury goods. In 2000, Ford also took creative control of Yves Saint Laurent, a Gucci Group brand, reviving it with his trademark combination of sensuality and mystique.

In April 2005, one year after leaving Gucci Group, he announced the creation of the TOM FORD brand. A beauty and eyewear collection launched in 2005 and 2006. In April 2007, his first directly operated retail store opened in New York at 845 Madison Avenue to coincide with the debut of the signature TOM FORD Menswear and Accessory Collection. Several landmark fragrances were launched in succession, including TOM FORD BLACK ORCHID and TOM FORD GREY VETIVER, as well as a scent collection for perfume connoisseurs called PRIVATE BLEND.

Seeing a need in the market for technology that could combat intense glare and harmful UV while bringing the brilliant colours of the island to life, we engineered the revolutionary PolarizedPlus2® lens. Incorporated into seven new sunglass styles, our Classic Collection was introduced. We now offer over 125 styles of sunglasses, 100% of which are polarized and protect from 100% of UVA and UVB rays.
